As previously reported, when others were saying otherwise, the highest bid has won. James Bord’s consortium, which has plenty of money & football experience, has been given preferred bidder status at Sheffield Wednesday. The hard work starts now but the uncertainty is over.

@benridley10 @TortosaExpat Wilder was more bothered about beating you might be a factor why we won. Games like that can easily be won or lost by fine margins regardless of squad talent.
That definitely doesn’t count for every game though, we saw that last season in the Premiership with Wilder 😂

@ijparkes @JimmyRambleYT If we got Dunne in return you could argue that he’s regularly available and Seriki isn’t so it’s a decent deal.
It feels very football manager chaos though putting the jigsaw together and a bit too much change in the squad.

@rossbateman1 I think a lot of it is lost in translation. I’ve read 5 different versions of some of the things he’s said. That said, the fact that him and Rohl haven’t spoken for at least two weeks is bizarre and likely down to the owner refusing to let Rohl speak to Southampton.

I won’t get carried away on the last minute Shea Charles decision. That’s football and those clauses exist for that reason.
But, I find it astonishing that the manager and owner have had no discussion with each other since December. That’s not healthy in any business. #swfc
