@vahphor Interesting, what time did you check in and for how many days? Check out at hotels ranges from 11am to 2pm. One or two hours extra can sometimes be offered for free, anything beyond that is full 50% cost or full payment. If you arrived at 2am the next day, you're in the wrong

My friend was celebrating his birthday and decided to treat us all, so he booked a room for the group at a nearby hotel called City Point. They quoted him ₦300,000 per room, he paid and booked it. After the party, we left the club around 2 -3 a.m. and headed straight to the hotel to rest. As soon as we arrived, the receptionist told us our things had already been packed out of the room because checkout time is 12 noon. They never mentioned or reminded us of the checkout time when we booked or checked in earlier. Now they’re saying the room has been rebooked by someone else, and if we want to stay we have to pay again for another room. Is this normal practice at hotels like this? It feels unfair and p0orly handled to me doesn’t the hotel have any responsibility to inform guests clearly about the checkout time, especially for a big booking like that?
