Happy to be visiting sites in Galicia, N. Spain, with PhD student @rubygeorge_ and the @BEcologyCIIMAR team. This is the southern (warmest) region in our collaborative study on the resilience of intertidal forests along a latitudinal gradient.

Currently in Orkney for the @BefScale Fucoid resilience experiment fieldwork 🌱 🌊 Exciting to see how differently the plots are recovering here compared to other regions 👀 Thank you so much to @challengersoc for funding my travel for this research trip ! 💙⛴️

Day 1 of the T3 #befscale fucoid resilience biogeographic survey done! With some 🌱growth measurements thrown into the bargain 📏 stunning weather here today in southern Finistère 🇫🇷 not many juveniles and lots of tired looking Osmundea 🍂 🤞 we find the tags this summer!

Spring #befscale sampling done 🙌Weather got unstuck from early-March just in time & was glorious! Too early for fucoid reproduction & lots of Osmundea in 100% removal plots for now. Nb: please admire Pr. Davoult’s reclined fucoid kelp tagging position 🌱😎
