Darche genuinely would’ve done better to stand pat at the deadline than make the trades he did. Soucy and Palat are flat-out useless, and Schenn is decent but the trade was definitely an overpay. Only 1 pick in the first 3 rounds of a supposedly very deep draft is not good.

I’ve complained about Roy enough for tonight, now let me complain about everyone else. Schaefer was the only one who showed any urgency tonight. As for everyone else, you’re in a playoff push and THAT’S how you play?? Unacceptable all around.

I really don’t want to be a doomer. But we can basically kiss the playoffs goodbye at this point. Realistically, is there even a scenario where we make it at this point? This team is a disaster. Had such a strong season only to fizzle out at the worst moment.

I love Roy as a player, but as a coach, he is not the answer for this team. Fire Roy.

Thing is I don’t even know whether it’s on Roy or on the team here He hasn’t been a good coach recently but the team is playing like they just don’t care Just disappointing all around

Genuinely what did Darche see in Soucy and Palat that we very clearly do not? I’d much rather see George or Warren over Soucy honestly. Duclair over Palat also seems favorable.

I’ve been a defender of Patrick Roy most of this season but after tonight… I’m really having doubts about whether he’s the answer for this team. Maybe I’m overreacting, maybe I’m not, I don’t know. Definitely angry about this one for sure.
