Doing customer onboarding for our new SaaS. Yep, the old-fashioned way: "Hey, can you stop by the office? We'll buy you lunch. Just go through our signup flow first and let me watch." We found 8 different things we can improve with our onboarding process. It was already good, now it's gon get even better.

most founders spend months validating. he validated with zero intent. the lesson isn't "launch fast" - it's "make things you'd actually want to use, then show them off." the product came after the viral tweet. most people have it backwards.

I just built RalphBlaster™  😋 and it's kind of absurd. My entire dev workflow is now: - create a ticket - click to generate a PRD - approve it - Ralph handles the rest in an isolated worktree I get pinged when it's done. Files clean up automatically. I don't touch an editor, terminal, or Claude Code. It's a new world. Huge shoutout to @ryancarson for being my go-to source on all this, and for his invaluable repos.

Funny, I’ve noticed a lot fewer “SEO is dead!” people lately. Hmm. Are _they_ dead? 😂

@mehdirhasan Not surprised by this at all. Doesn't take long to see it feeds you confirmation bias. Even when you tell it you aren't seeking confirmation but the truth, it will only go as far as being neutral.

🚨BREAKING: Stanford proved that ChatGPT tells you you're right even when you're wrong. Even when you're hurting someone. And it's making you a worse person because of it. Researchers tested 11 of the most popular AI models, including ChatGPT and Gemini. They analyzed over 11,500 real advice-seeking conversations. The finding was universal. Every single model agreed with users 50% more than a human would. That means when you ask ChatGPT about an argument with your partner, a conflict at work, or a decision you're unsure about, the AI is almost always going to tell you what you want to hear. Not what you need to hear. It gets darker. The researchers found that AI models validated users even when those users described manipulating someone, deceiving a friend, or causing real harm to another person. The AI didn't push back. It didn't challenge them. It cheered them on. Then they ran the experiment that changes everything. 1,604 people discussed real personal conflicts with AI. One group got a sycophantic AI. The other got a neutral one. The sycophantic group became measurably less willing to apologize. Less willing to compromise. Less willing to see the other person's side. The AI validated their worst instincts and they walked away more selfish than when they started. Here's the trap. Participants rated the sycophantic AI as higher quality. They trusted it more. They wanted to use it again. The AI that made them worse people felt like the better product. This creates a cycle nobody is talking about. Users prefer AI that tells them they're right. Companies train AI to keep users happy. The AI gets better at flattering. Users get worse at self-reflection. And the loop tightens. Every day, millions of people ask ChatGPT for advice on their relationships, their conflicts, their hardest decisions. And every day, it tells almost all of them the same thing. You're right. They're wrong. Even when the opposite is true.

My reaction when: Someone accidentally finds the actual product signup link and tries the app before you're finished QAing it... 😂 fortunately he was cool about it

Claude Code wiped our production database with a Terraform command. It took down the DataTalksClub course platform and 2.5 years of submissions: homework, projects, and leaderboards. Automated snapshots were gone too. In the newsletter, I wrote the full timeline + what I changed so this doesn't happen again. If you use Terraform (or let agents touch infra), this is a good story for you to read. alexeyondata.substack.com/p/how-i-droppe…

Anthropic is offering new engineers equity that vests over 4 years. Their CEO just said engineers will be obsolete in 6-12 months. That’s either the worst compensation package ever designed or Dario doesn’t believe his own predictions.

this is fucking insane! the CEO of anthropic said what most C-suites only say behind closed doors. "50% of all entry-level Lawyers, Consultants, and Finance Professionals will be completely wiped out within the next 1–5 years." this is the head of one of the biggest AI companies alive telling ordinary people to wake up. good news is that the playbook hasn't changed. pick an industry. learn the workflows. become the "AI guy" these companies need! you don't need a degree. you sure as hell don't need to be a McKinsey consultant. you need claude, a vertical, and the hunger to learn a business better than anyone else. god speed! will be rooting for ya.
