I've launched an investigation into the contracting and approval process for the demolition of the White House—and whether the corporate donors funding Trump's ballroom are seeking favors with the Administration. The American public deserves answers. msnbc.com/msnbc/news/tru…

@Tamzilla_52 @DrPepperTexan Difference is it’s about 30-40% of canadas entire GDP that’s sent to the US. And it’s About 1% that the US sends to Canada. Canada will be destroyed by this quickly. Americans really won’t see much difference.

@DrPepperTexan The thing is, when Canada imposes those tariffs on our products, the Canadian consumer pays them. When Trump places those tariffs on Canadian goods, we pay them. Tariffs are not good for any country’s economy.

Saying Canada is screwed is a understatement, Canada trades about 700b of their 2.5 trillion gdp to the US. When the US trades about 350b of their 27.72 trillion GDP to Canada. That’s nothing on the US gdp and will hardly impact the US at all…. Canada on the other hand….

@x_facts_matter @EdKrassen Also the amount of exports to Canada is less than 1% of our gdp, for Canada it’s nearly 50%. Other people already have trade partners and don’t have nearly as much money. They are screwed. Will hardly impact the us.

@EdKrassen It’s too late. The damage has been done. Mexico and Canada will actively establish trade partnerships with other more reliable countries.

BREAKING: U.S. Commerce Secretary Lutnick says Trump may roll back Canada and Mexico tariffs tomorrow, and “meet in the middle.” Yeah, OK. You mean Trudeau called your bluff and you know this will destroy America. Looks like Trump may have lost the trade war in less than 24 hours.

@x_facts_matter @EdKrassen It will cost both of them dearly to do so. Likely more than the teriff is anyways due to shipping. People forget how expensive shipping really is. And how long it takes to get places by ship.

@MercedesGlobal So where is our leader with our concerns about firearms pouring into Canada? Killing Canadians. This is as bad as fentanyl.

@fordnation I am happy Canada decided to actually listen and help America. You’re using American tax dollars daily and don’t think twice about it. But when we ask for you to do something you did the blame game… “less than 1%” well less than 1% is still 1k American lives.

We have some good news today. We have temporarily averted tariffs that would have severely damaged our economy, giving time for more negotiation and time for cooler heads to prevail. Thank you to the countless workers, union leaders, businesses and everyday proud Canadians who rallied together to make this happen. With the U.S. pausing tariffs, Ontario will also pause our retaliatory measures. If President Trump proceeds with tariffs, we won’t hesitate to remove American products off LCBO shelves or ban American companies from provincial procurement. Make no mistake, Canada and Ontario continue to stare down the threat of tariffs. Whether it’s tomorrow, in a month or a year from now when we’re renegotiating the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement, President Trump will continue to use the threat of tariffs to get what he wants. We’re already feeling the impact. So long as our trading relationship with our largest trading partner is up in the air, we will continue to see many potential projects frozen and projects that were already under way put at risk. Canada and the U.S. need to remain united and focused on the real trade war we’re fighting, with China. If we want to win, we need to fight together - not each other.

Every year, LCBO sells nearly $1 billion worth of American wine, beer, spirits and seltzers. Not anymore. Starting Tuesday, we’re removing American products from LCBO shelves. As the only wholesaler of alcohol in the province, LCBO will also remove American products from its catalogue so other Ontario-based restaurants and retailers can’t order or restock U.S. products. There’s never been a better time to choose an amazing Ontario-made or Canadian-made product. As always, please drink responsibly.

@fordnation You think 100m is going to phase Elon? lol that’s laughable. You’re making your situation worse… Mexico learned and got tariffs off, but now you attacked America… bet you’re going to miss your 280b free money when that’s stripped, military power removed, 100% tariff.

Starting today and until U.S. tariffs are removed, Ontario is banning American companies from provincial contracts. Every year, the Ontario government and its agencies spend $30 billion on procurement, alongside our $200 billion plan to build Ontario. U.S.-based businesses will now lose out on tens of billions of dollars in new revenues. They only have President Trump to blame. We’re going one step further. We’ll be ripping up the province’s contract with Starlink. Ontario won’t do business with people hellbent on destroying our economy. Canada didn't start this fight with the U.S., but you better believe we're ready to win it.

How about we block key internet connection points and locations where Canadian internet traffic is known to pass through or connect with U.S. infrastructure? New York City: One of the largest internet hubs in the world, with numerous Internet Exchange Points (IXPs) like NYIIX (New York International Internet Exchange). Canadian traffic often passes through here for both domestic and international routing. Chicago: Known for its Equinix CH1 data center, which hosts several major IXPs including DE-CIX Chicago and the Chicago Internet eXchange (ChiIX). It's a significant point for Canadian data transiting to or from the Midwest and beyond. Seattle: The Pacific Northwest hub where Canadian traffic, especially from Western Canada, often connects for routes to Asia or other parts of the U.S. The Seattle Internet Exchange (SIX) is a key facility here. Ashburn, Virginia: Often referred to as "Data Center Alley," Ashburn is pivotal due to its concentration of data centers and IXPs like Equinix Ashburn (which includes many peering points). It's a critical junction for traffic to the East Coast and transatlantic routes. San Jose, California: Another major tech hub with significant IXP presence, including the Palo Alto Internet Exchange (PAIX). It's a common route for Canadian data heading to or from the Silicon Valley area or further to Asia. Los Angeles: LA has several key IXPs like Any2Exchange and Equinix LA, making it a crucial point for traffic from Western Canada to the U.S. and Asia. Buffalo, New York: For geographical reasons, this city is a direct connection point for traffic from Southern Ontario, offering connections to the broader U.S. network. Detroit, Michigan: Proximity to Windsor, Ontario, makes Detroit another important cross-border connection point, facilitating direct links between Canadian and U.S. networks.
