I’ve been a distant though deeply appreciative observer of the Institute of Postcolonial Studies for many years. Recently I found out IPCS is under threat so I went to this meeting tonight. There were many profound reflections & I encourage anyone who isn’t familiar to watch 👇

Help us keep the Institute going. As active members of the Institute of Postcolonial Studies, we have spent years at the Institute cultivating community, growing mutually and bringing life to a space that invited us to engage with questions of the postcolonial.

The Board's decision to close down the Institute has compelled the founding director, Phillip Darby to speak out in clarification of his position on the decision, and in favour of our campaign to keep the Institute open.

On December 2, 2023 Professor Tony Birch wrote the following letter regarding the Board of the IPCS efforts to close down the Institute -
