Bitcoin Core vs Knots? Scash is even stricter than Knots to encourage use of network for only financial txs. Default settings (not consensus rules) disable OP_RETURN, filter Ordinals, disable RBF. Settings can be changed by community and devs if needed.

Miners can reduce the risk of missing payouts (pool gets hacked or suddenly shuts down) by spreading out their hashpower across multiple mining pools. This also helps decentralize block production which is good for the network.

As a decentralized project, community members can protect each other from harm by pointing out misinformation.
1. Scash is a privacy coin - NOT TRUE
Scash (like Bitcoin) does not have privacy features like Monero or Zcash. Social media posts that try to associate with or compare with these projects are mistaken and inaccurate.
2. Scash has no developers - NOT TRUE
Scash has many developers working on different projects: web wallets, explorers, mining pools, websites. The original node/protocol developer is no longer active. Scash is a community project and anyone can build and contribute e.g.

3. Scash is backed by secret hackers and Satoshi - NOT TRUE
Everyone knows to ignore bizarre claims and fake stories, but unfortunately people new to crypto can easily fall victim and be exploited. Help stop this by not spreading deliberate misinformation, whether it's FUD or HYPE.

@scashnetwork DNS needs to be packaged into the wallet. Many people can only synchronize it by watching the tutorial after downloading the wallet.

Running a DNS seeder helps nodes sync to the network via the -adddnsseed option, instead of having to copy a list of IP addresses. Bitcoin has 9 DNS seeders, Scash only has 1.
If you already have a server and domain name, run the Exor Generic Seeder with Cloudflare API (it's free).

SCASH uses the same difficulty adjustment algorithm developed by Bitcoin Cash, which adjusts the network difficulty every block.
So when there is a surge in mining hash power, network difficulty will increase rapidly, until the block interval returns to ~10 mins per block.

To ensure user funds are safe, wallets and supporting infrastructure must be continuously maintained (fixes/changes to the network, Android/iOS) and have playbooks and processes for handling incidents.
