Researchers at ETH Zurich created nano OLED light diodes 100x smaller than a human cell, achieving pixel densities of ~50,000 ppi and enabling ultra sharp displays and phased array light control on a chip.
Such miniaturization opens up possibilities for ultra high resolution displays, holographic displays, mini lasers, on chip phased array light control, and new photonic / neural interface devices.
