Really? Show me a truly socialist government that has worked. The Scandinavian countries you refer to use the 'Nordic Model', which isn't socialism. It is based on capitalism and private business ownership. Those economies are currently under pressure due to high taxation (typically between 50% to 65% of income), an aging population, and migration. People are currently happy in general because public services, health care, education, public services, transport systems, etc. are good. But...... They need to adjust further to compensate. But how? There's no more to tax without losing the electorate. The Nordic Model encourages capitalism and growth to raise the taxes required to fund the model. A socialist government does not. It doesn't understand that people need to be successful and wealthy in order to taxes to be raised to fund their profligacy. We have a truly socialist government which abhors capitalism and business, our public services are terrible, and we are being taxed to the point of cruelty to pay for these sub standard services. You're right when you say Starmer's government aren't socialist, they are communist, masquerading as socialist in the hope we won't notice. I stand by what I said. Socialism does not work in the real world. It's a theoretical system that works on paper, but we don't live on paper. We live in reality. I don't think I need any further education from you. Thanks.

@AmbJohnBolton John, it’s time in the United States forms a friendly alliance with Russia and China. NATO has been a thorn in the side for both Russia and China and now that NATO is essentially irrelevant, we can forge this relationship. China and Russia are not inherently evil.

Just a hunch, but perhaps the Church might acknowledge that Israel is the only country in the Middle East where Christians have always been totally free to practise their faith; might stop regurgitating its own patented blood libels about Jewish “atrocities” committed by others; and might state that since Jesus was a Jew from Judea, it’s a malicious lie to claim that the indigenous Jews are now in “illegal occupation” of their own historic homeland.
