Great weekend at the #AOCPMR conference! Came away with a better sense of the residency process, learned more about areas like ALS care and cryoneurolysis, & connected with inspiring students and physicians who are genuinely passionate about the field. Excited for what’s ahead!

2/2- Very interesting to see the powerful impact of meds, especially as it translates to pt's mood & behaviors. I also loved collaborating w/ the treatment team and seeing how everyones efforts led to the pt leaving in a better state than they arrived in

Psychiatry rotation ✅ truly an eye-opening & engaging experience. I was quite indifferent to speciality going in but came out inspired and eager to learn more. What a privilege it is to be trusted w/ people's inner thoughts & past traumas 1/2

Didactics ✅ Its the way 2 years can feel like a blink of an eye and a decade long at the same time....needless to say, grateful for what this journey has brought thus far & energized by what is to come!

Its always been about the progress. About pushing through discomfort and challenging yourself while giving yourself grace along the way. And celebrating the little (big) wins!😃 ((shout out to our club for great participation and a valuable discussion!))

Today, as PM&R club president, I led & facilitated a discussion amongst 20 people, executed my self-developed ideas for the meeting including a rapid fire Q&A game, and ended it with more pride then discomfort.

In undergrad, I remember being so nervous about the speech I had to deliver to my APO brothers to run for fundraising chair. I practiced many times in front of my parents, barely looked up at the audience, and kept it as short as possible. It was uncomfortable.

Appreciated everyones candid insight into the match process & what they believed help them succeed. With 3rd year around the corner, its time to get better acquainted with this crazy match process residency situation😅

3rd year clinical rotation sites have been assigned! Only 2 months left of rural TN. Time to soak in the gorgeous mountains & 0 traffic!

First day of OMSII Spring semester ✅ aka my last first day of lecture!!! Taking it one day at a time, putting one foot in front of the other really got us this far.. holy moly!!

one day I will have a nonprofit and the more I learn, travel, listen to & observe people's stories and experiences, the closer I am to pinpointing the cause(s) I will support and actively contribute to.. I am eager to make a difference.

what if there was an amusement park w accommodations galore for ppl w disabilities? how come Disney can't do a better job w accommodations? is there a fund to support families or sponsor Disney trips? the kids have so much fun at MDA camps..imagine that x10

I was at Disney world this past week and found myself v preoccupied with thought about the unique challenges people (+ their families) w disabilities may face. obviously I went down a reddit rabbit hole and confirmed that it is indeed quite the undertaking.

resp was fun. I think it was nice learning about things I've heard about like CF, obstructive diseases, PTX. I was glad to get another pass on resp bugs. I kinda enjoyed learning about pressures and volumes. I feel like I've touched the tip of the iceberg and want to dive deeper

renal.........yeah not my jam. We had a very engaging & passionate lecturer in my neuro class & I think the only way I'd stand a chance of loving renal is if he taught it. I am in awe of the kidneys but I cant say I wake up bright eyed & bushy tailed to study its assoc path

ok time for reflections... cardio was very interesting. cardiac physio was more enjoyable and made more sense this year than last. vasculitides, heart failure, murmurs, carditises.. it rlly is a dif realm and I enjoyed it!

3rd semester of didactics in the books! Reflections to come...

As a part of ultrasound club we hosted an OB/Gyn today. He taught us how to visualize the bladder and uterus, what adenomyosis is and the benefits of birth control..I love hands on learning & professionals who are passionate about what they do

Friday doesn't feel like a Friday when you have an exam Monday but happy Friday to those participating 😂 and to those with their heads in the books, 30 some days till thanksgiving break!!
