Today, I successfully defended my PhD thesis. So greatful to my brilliant examiners for an engaging, productive discussion & forever indebted to my supervisor Prof Stacey Hynd for her support leading up to this moment. It's a wonderful day to finally be Dr Baldwin!

My talk at Basler Afrika Bibliographien in partnership with the University of Basel Hist Dept in Switzerland. I started by quoting the Day of Affirmation speech by Robert Kennedy at the University of Cape Town South Africa in 1966 during the height of Apartheid. More to follow

After a very fruitful archival research trip to Geneva (World Council of Churches) and Basel (Basler Afrika Bibliographien) last month, I will be presenting some of my findings at the University of Southampton tomorrow.

As we celebrate Africa day this week and culture month in Zimbabwe I wrote this newspaper article about protecting the intellectual property of mbira.
