“Value” is a fluid concept in web3.
It might be the art, a sense of community, profits (lol), counter-culture, an informal degree on scalable tech or some weird mix of each.
For me it was the art, and even though @moonbirds @proof_xyz has been a bit of an easy punching bag for many of late, it’s unlikely I would’ve found @emilyxxie without them.
Being in product, I’m around artists and engineers A LOT, but this stunning piece (Away from Keyboard) is one of the most creative things I’ve seen in a while.
It’s a hybrid of generative and physical art, with generative patterns/textures being physically collaged into this masterpiece - bringing (at least) two styles into one.
The criticism of generative art that I routinely hear from peers is that it’s “soulless”, but you can’t look at this, listen to the story of its formation and call it anything close to that.
My wife (a big art consumer) isn’t likely to let any of my PFP’s go up on a wall in our home, but she’s already committed to this when we hold it.

GM, all the current & future Captainz holders!
Here are some changes to the Captainz:
WHAT
• WHEN YOU UNSTAKE YOUR CAPTAINZ, IT WILL BE RESET TO THE BABY LOOK
• You still keep all the traits with your Captainz, but they are NOT shown on the image
• It's like when you sell a house, you restore it to a good & clean look to boost sales
• You do not have to do anything as it will be handled by the system
• As always, you are suggested to check the dashboard on memeland.com before any purchases
WHY
• Most NFT marketplaces use "cache" to display the images
•The images are not updated immediately, and it leads to wrong purchases
• With our Smart PFP, someone may have sold a rare trait, but the trait is still shown on the Captainz that he listed
• So we are resetting the image to reduce the chance of a wrong purchase

P.S. We have updated the skin types of the Human babies to show that it's customizable!
