The southern and eastern parts of the country trend more conservative than the northern and western areas. They are just about as bitterly divided as the U.S., and they are in demographic decline.

@shocker2delta @MScottMcCulloug @SoveyX I didn’t know this about Korea, I have never been but thought of it as another northeast country worthy of praise. I did see the Kpop thing as becoming increasingly degenerate though. Is it an urban issue? How is the countryside?

@MScottMcCulloug @SoveyX Same. They don't seem to take as much pride in their country as Japan, either. It's very apparent with the cleanliness. Japan is spotless, with very little garbage and litter, while Korea has it everywhere. They DEFINITELY need a political house cleaning.

@SoveyX Korea could be the GOAT, but their economy and politics are so F'ed. I've lived here on and off for 12 years... ready to say good bye this summer.

@CSmyth1472 @MUKIDEZA2 VERY easy to do. I just came back from a trip to Kyoto and Osaka. On this particular trip, I found the vast majority from India/Bangladesh to be the most rude as an overall group. However, individuals from many other places (including Americans) were also getting on my nerves.

@shocker2delta @MUKIDEZA2 I am American, but maybe you are right; I could simply be fatigued of "rude" in general 🙄 I think that opinion must reveal my age 😏

@CSmyth1472 @MUKIDEZA2 I found the Chinese tourists far more rude there, but I get what you're saying. They come in all stripes everywhere I go, and I would argue that most Americans aren't as rude as they're made out to be, in my experience.

@MUKIDEZA2 @shocker2delta I lived in Okinawa for 4 years 😉 I was going to reply, "if you miss random rude American tourists, then go to Okinawa", 😅 Even I did not want to be around Americans when I left my house! 😂🤣 There are many things I miss about Okinawa, also. 💜🍣🍙🍘🍚🍜

@ThatGrassSmell @akevittnvg I prefer mine in white gravy, but that's a middle America thing (not like the curdled cheese madness the Canadians prefer). Okay, yes - tartar sauce for breaded fried whitefish varieties. Will keep in mind that I will need to ask for it next time.

@ThatGrassSmell @akevittnvg See, that's where I went wrong. I saw plenty of just salt and vinegar, and nothing else. But wait, are you saying you use tartar sauce for the chips, but not the fish?

@shocker2delta @akevittnvg Salt and vinegar are usually automatically offered but next time you're here definitely ask for tartar sauce - most chippies I've used have little packs of different sauces like this/ketchup. Depends where you go. 🙂

@BuffaloRon In Osaka now, before I go back to Korea, just in time for their cherry blossom season. Oh, and I got to catch a baseball game two days ago - the Orix Buffaloes won. Their home area is Kyoto/Osaka. It's like you were made to be here!

@tunenimansinsou A lot of truth to this statement. A lot of this personality type seems to be extremely averse to eating meat in general. I think it's a true case study in proper nutrition based upon animal-based proteins.
