Student doctor Danyal Tahseen recently visited a local Montessori school to host a storytime session with around 50 students. Through storytelling and discussion, students explored empathy and how adaptive tools help people experience the world in different ways.

SHSU-COM’s Accessibility Allies presented “The Holistic Edge: Exploring the MD–DO Landscape” at Austin College. Led by OMS-II Cody Dean, students joined Drs. Ava Stanczak and Simeon Nittala to discuss MD vs. DO pathways and demonstrate OMM.

SHSU-COM student doctors earned 1st place in Original Research at the Texas Osteopathic Medical Association (TOMA). Second-year Samuel Covington presented research on OMM and cardiovascular parameters with a team of student and faculty collaborators.
