I think it matters on what meaning when player. If we say generational prospect, then that means evaluating them as a a player before pro play. If we say generational player, it means pro play and overall career (heavily favoring pro play obviously) It’s why we can have players who generational players but weren’t generational prospects. I think their evaluation is right as long as it wasn’t said to be a generational player.

If someone calls a prospect generational, one of the greatest prospects ever, all that and has them 1 on their board and the player is a good player would go 1 in a redraft but nowhere near a generational player, did they get their eval right or wrong?

Akron has plenty of shooting talent, not like this is over by the way. But this is one of the more dangerous mid majors playing today and TTU is not playing with its food early on

i’m like this but like i still try but im not sweating bullets at a loss or win 😭, i js play the game and try to play who is enjoyable w/ counter swapping as little as possible. I find it a bit goofy when someone treats a public comp gamemode as serious as possible in like the average ranks in games tho 😭

I think Stirtz is by no means bad, but idk to me it just seems unlikely a 22 year old be picked that high for me, in the last 10 years, only 6 have been 22 or older within the top 10, 11 within the lottery, and only ONE within the top 5. I think your draft board is really unique and cool but I still think you can just ignore how favorable drafting 18/19/20 year olds over 22 year olds

I think people on twitter cannot differentiate between Value, Impact, and talent. Value: How replaceable a player is for an organization or league wide (Usually represents the best of the bests of their respective role, [A PG Like Hali, Role Player like Derrick White, Elite Efficiency like Kon Knueppel etc..) Impact: How much a player affects their team (Player A can be more Talented than Player B but Player B can have more of an impact due to their fit within the team), Usually goes hand in hand with Value Talent: Just overall skill of a player, ignoring context of team success, and focusing on more on what they do as a player (usually the higher usage players struggling to explain this one)

This is pretty funny because fans absolutely do have access to the analytics that would suggest Derrick White is a top 5-10 player but most choose to say "you watch basketball through a calculator" to anyone who wants to cite those analytics.
