Cracking Lesser Scaup at College Lake, a first for Bucks. A nice boost to my county list, following a Slavonian Grebe in Feb and a Goshawk in March.

A little less nature focused than usual (but still a bird included!), had a magic wedding day on Thursday, with a star ring bearer Fleur, the barn owl. The wife was kind enough to indulge me with the barny and ended up loving it too.

Spent a very enjoyable day at Waddesdon Manor watching my first Bucks Snow Bunting. Showed superbly to a surprisingly small crowd, many thanks to Rob Cadd for refinding it and putting me on it.

Barred Warbler from Wednesday at South Landing, first bird watched alongside the Oriole Birding group before they found the big one at Bempton.

Baird’s Sandpiper at Rutland was a nice little treat on the way home from Yorkshire.

Leach's Storm Petrel, my most wanted bird in the UK! Got to see a few today through the Wirral. Saw the wind forces last last week and took the day off work. An extremely friendly and helpful bunch of birders in that area! @wirralbirdclub @CAWOSBirding @CheshireWT

White Fronted Goose at RSPB Cors Ddyga, just to the S of the path 200 yds West of car park.

A nice close Whimbrel from @RSPBConwy this afternoon. Two at first and another two appeared as the tide dropped.

I was hoping to see the Blue Headed Wagtail at Staines this afternoon, having only seen Channel Wagtail before but had no joy. Well worth going with great views of the pictured Slavonian Grebe and Black Necked Grebes, with distant views of the Great Northern Divers.

A Bucks county tick with the Scandinavian Rock Pipit at Amersham flood meadows. Took a while to find but then showed really well. First visit to the site and surely won’t be the last.

The Richard’s Pipit in Bucks showed very nicely in perfect weather today. Very glad it’s hung around for the leisurely twitchers like myself.

Hard to pick only 4, so here's another batch of the Great Orme black redstart. One of my favourite birds I've photographed for a while. You can see his funky tongue in the final shot as he swallows a bribe I gave him. @freebirdnewsuk
