Not sure if anyone posted this already, but I went by the Buffalo Heights HEB and noticed @HouPublicWorks was installing pedestrian signals at the intersection. I know a lot of people put in 311 requests for this over the years. Didn’t have a chance to take a picture.

In order to get around an entire Addicks trail closure, it would require fighting Shell employee traffic in 2 spots, riding along the I-10 feeder, weaving through disconnected neighborhoods, then fighting huge car lines of drop off traffic at Sherwood Elem (a single lane rd).

Very cool! A number of Texas stadiums are also going green. NRG Stadium, the Spurs' practice gym & Q2 Stadium all have solar panels, while the Toyota Center purchases renewable energy credits. Who am I missing? #txenergy

@elmachuca Czech Republic is my favorite. They used to call them dugout dogs at the local ballpark. Used to have bun spike warmers like this. After taking the bun off the spike, they put a lot of cheese goo and ketchup in the hole. When they put the frank in the goo gets distributed nicely

This brings the number of segments that are closed on my work commute to 3. Addicks Trail, Waugh Drive, and Holman St. The alternate route here is i10.

@evan7257 Yep, I meant when smaller entities that have more direct feedback from those impacted make decisions, they typically reflect that group much better. Whereas huge mega entities like COH get bogged down in the layers of bureaucracy, allowing unaffected groups to be overly vocal.
