@IrkthePurists As a teenager and student, the 90s were pretty cool. Affordable cost of living, plenty to do, great movies (despite shit music) and loads of entry level jobs in the dot com industry after uni. It started to go to shit in the early 2000s (& the music didn’t get better either)

Thing is, the 90s were mostly rubbish. Especially if you were an adult. The Top
Of the Pops repeats don’t lie.
BUT (and it’s a big BUT) there was a tangible sense that things would ultimately get better, possibly in the relatively near future.
That’s what’s gone.
