The issue with the NFL doing more of these standalone games is not that they’re played at odd times or that they’re in foreign countries. The issue is that our Sunday slate is slowly being watered down to the point where eventually it will feel like a non-event. Redzone’s “octo-box” will almost surely be a thing of the past, as sooner rather than later we’ll have NFL “primetime” games on nearly every night of the week, including occasional double headers, stealing action away from Sunday. Couple this with the impending schedule expansion to add an 18th game and likewise, a 2nd bye week, and we’ll conceivably arrive at a point where a Sunday slate could only have 4-5 games on any given week. I think it’s sad that greed could soon destroy our league from within. We have environmental and animal protection agencies - why do we not have anything like this for our leagues? I’d be glad to oversee the NFL protection and preservation agency on behalf of the fans.

Can you fit a full soccer FIFA regulation field? I know it a a football stadium, but if they didn’t account for soccer dimensions in the design then it’s a missed opportunity for future events like Copa America, Gold Cup, international friendlies, etc.
