@BobHarig Now, that 13th tee box is in the middle of that fairway at Augusta Country Club. Wow. It didn't have to be that way if they were still playing persimmons and softer balls.

Holes that don't exist... Have you ever thought how good a hole would be from the 14th tee at Augusta to the 12th green? No? Just me then?

Such a cool angle to look at golf swings. You get a great look at how the lower body moves during the swing. 189 mph Ball Speed here from Marco Penge, if I remember correctly.

@LukeKerrDineen You also get to see the slight lateral shift on the downswing that's so important. Can't notice it on a down-the-line video clip.

@smithson291 @doglegpar3 Indeed yes. Hard to hit the sweet spot. Faldo went to this model literally in a last minute act for the final round of the 89’ Masters. Poor putting in 3rd round so Ken Brown gave him this one. Faldo went on to putt one of the greatest final round putting displays in history

@DavidWilso68155 @doglegpar3 Don't get me wrong, I love my 8802 & I practice with it all the time because if you can putt with that, you can putt with anything. Sweet spot on the 8802 is the size of a pencil eraser, so it teaches you center contact and where your misses are. Feedback is amazing on 8802!

@DavidWilso68155 @doglegpar3 Odyssey did a knockoff of that version and so did Titleist. It's a great shape for a putter and far more forgiving than the Wilson 8802 model, which is very hard to hit and be consistent with!

@golfjunkievegas @doglegpar3 Any slight miss and the ball goes off line. It's a very sensitive putter with a sweet spot the size of a pencil eraser. Excellent feel and very soft when struck well, but when you miss it, the putter head will tell you instantly. Pure blade putter. Palmer and Crenshaw used it

@doglegpar3 Used to use the Wilson 8802. Pure if you’re stroking it well.

@DavidWilso68155 @doglegpar3 Faldo used that putter during the British Open at St. Andrews. He used the Rossie II by Odyssey in 1996 at the Masters.

@doglegpar3 Those old flat sticks are so good. I’ve still got an old Crenshaw, Faldo and Seve in my dusty old cupboard….they still work a treat!

@NJShore55 @MTownsendGolf My first heartbreaking moment in watching golf was when Tom lost the US Open in 1983. He had that tournament. Larry Nelson played well, but it was his to win. Still hard to accept to this day. Wow.

@ShedEndTom1982 @MTownsendGolf I've always said, 17 degrees is the perfect loft for a fairway wood. It goes far, you can work the ball so easily, and it's very easy to control without any wild dispersion. The length of a 4 wood (shaft length) is ideal too.

@clawstothetop @MTownsendGolf Tom could have had 12 majors easily if just one or two breaks went his way. So close so many times.

@briandessie @MTownsendGolf The 1991 Masters was my all-time favorite. You had Watson and Woosnam battling it out. Both very fast players and had to deal with heavy slow play/traffic at the 13th. They endured it and had an excellent finish.

@Tingham3Tom @MTownsendGolf When you see it in person, you can't believe how small and narrow it is. TV actually makes it appear bigger, but it's very small. If they ever expanded the pond on 16 to border the back end of the 15th green and shaved off the banks, it would produce so many water balls.

@MTownsendGolf Hole 15 at Augusta is the best hole on the course. It gets overshadowed by amen corner but that risk/reward narrow sloping green is brutal.

@TrumperLa @MTownsendGolf A Ping Eye 2 SW wedge (pre 1985) would have torn the cover off of it. Trust me, those wedges shredded a Titleist Professional 90 compression.

@TheGolfDivoTee He had the distinction of winning a major in 3 different decades (50's, 60's, 70's). 15 Top-5's in his major championship history Played his first Masters with Ben Hogan in 1957 and his last with Tiger Woods in the field in 2005. Great player and vastly underrated!!
