@buggerlugs___ @butters_jon @EddieNap395 @KostaMastro If he leaves, I think the reduction in negotiating power and the value return will be minimal. They could have traded the picks forward but other clubs didn't value 2025 R1 the same as other years and we'd still be in the same situation of using them to draft an academy player.

@spektaur @butters_jon @EddieNap395 @KostaMastro He may be a RFA but he is, more importantly, out of contract. This alone will diminish Port’s negotiating power. They could’ve on-traded any 2025 picks for future picks.

If Butters leaves Port, can someone explain how the Bulldogs would actually get a trade done? You’d expect they finish top 5, so they won’t have a top 10 pick, and Port would have to demand three first-round picks.

@buggerlugs___ @butters_jon @EddieNap395 @KostaMastro He's a RFA, negotiating position both years is pretty similar. Club spent the preceding 12 months trash talking the 2025 draft. The only additional thing trading last year would have yielded is picks in the 2025 drawer which they didn't want.

@butters_jon @EddieNap395 @KostaMastro Butters IS a star. Dougie likely will be. Zemes might. Louis might. Tevita might but also Essendon NGA eligible. As for the feelings thing, what a weird thing to say.

@spektaur @EddieNap395 @KostaMastro Cochrane, Pilot, Salopek and Rodan will be stars. If Butters is going to leave, we need to land 3-4 of them. Nothing wrong with planning ahead. Sorry if this hurts your feelings.

@butters_jon @EddieNap395 @KostaMastro Justifying losing a top 5 or 10 player in the league for picks for academy prospects is diabolical. I understand the change for bid matching but it doesn't make the situation any more palatable.

@butters_jon @EddieNap395 @KostaMastro Clubs manage to get their academy picks without offloading top 5-10 players in the league every year. Don't normalise us losing Butters for players we still would have drafted if he stayed.

@PAFC For the sake of the club, I hope Gather Round is being played at night without lights on. I've signed up for self-defence classes so I can pop my eyes out like grapes so I never have to see this again.

🚨 JUST IN: Absolute wild scene in Georgia. A Trump supporter walks up holding a Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award… and it has Biden’s name printed on it. He goes: “I don’t want Biden’s name on there. Can you help me out?” Trump looks down, smirks, and says: “Yeah? You want me to cross it off?” Then he straight-up strikes it out on the spot. The place ERUPTS. It’s part comedy… part message. One supporter. One sharpie. One perfect viral moment. Trump never lets these clips slip.

@SpannersReady They offered Norris priority. He didn't want it for fear of a safety car giftng Piastri a cheap pitstop. There was little threat from Leclerc. From the radio discussion it seems the team previously decided a slow pitstop is part of racing and not worthy of intervention.

The Monza situation was done to BENEFIT Piastri!! Are people deliberately ignoring that? The natural situation was to leave him vulnerable to a potential undercut. Norris was unnaturally exposed to an undercut from Piastri by agreeing to lose pit priority as long as he wouldn't get undercut. They assured him that he wouldn't be undercut. He did get undercut so they swapped.

Exclusive – Next year's potential No.1 pick Dougie Cochrane has been APPROVED to be in Port Adelaide's NGA. His application was today ticked off after a thorough process which saw Cochrane's family provide a confirmation of Aboriginal descent certificate.afl.com.au/news/1452438/p…

Susie and Toto Wolff on AD21: Toto: "I have not experienced the loss of control of a situation since I was a child. There is one lunatic who can basically destroy the record of the greatest champion of all time." Susie: "It was disbelief. That one person’s decision to interpret the rules, in a way that they had never been interpreted before, could have caused such an outcome. It sat so heavily with me, for a long time afterwards." YES LANDO!!! (a reporter said the reason the mexican crowd was booing him was because they want him to give back the 3 points to oscar from monza) lando: “sure. if they want to think that, they certainly have the right to. they can think whatever they want. i guess from us as a team, of course, we try and do things fairly. that was the comments we made back then. the same with two years ago in budapest when i could have won the race and had to let oscar back through and let him win the race he deserved to win. it was no different to that really. it was an incorrect decision that we made as a team to box him first or me first here. to be honest, if you want to have the three points, they can. they have the right to think whatever they want. like oscar deserved to win last year in budapest, i deserve to be ahead in monza. simple as that”

@landosmile If Lando had rightfully literally been thrown in jail after Singapore, COTA sprint race turn 1 never happens.

bro really wants that championship gifted to him which makes no sense unless he doubts his own capabilities 🤷🏻‍♀️ People call Norris unlikeable but once the dust settles down I’m sure all the tables are gonna turn against Piastri because he is one of the most unlikeable driver.

Oscar being smug about this just tells me it’s clear the team favours him and HE KNOWS. Honestly, your teammate had whole mechanical dnf and still didn’t cry about it so how do you cry over a racing incident as a formula 1 driver😭

@RuthVogels17 @ln4norris LNPoor stans Hard racing without teammate contact before "Papaya rules": 🤬 Reckless racing with teammate contact after "Papaya rules": 😇 If Oscar's overtake in Monza 2024 was so bad, you should be disgusted by Norris' overtake in Singapore 2025.

Papaya rules this year: -Piastri requested to swap 3 times (Japan Silverstone Singapore) -Piastri complained about dirty air so McLaren pit Lando early (Saudi) -Piastri got told to attack more carefully three times (Austria and twice in Hungary) Norris: never requested to swap.
