Man, I just have too many question for EA/BF Studios right now - rant incoming. sorry, not sorry. Now that all the content is on the table...why was this season even delayed at all? Feels like a nothing burger reward after an extra month-long wait and it's clear the community is flabbergasted. Why is your content largely FOMO, like challenges and limited-time modes, purposefully designed to NOT make players stick around long-term? Surely we want to build a strong, solid foundation...right? Where are the maps? 2 is just not going to cut it. I know CoD is the same slop almost every year, but at least they have 3 studios working on it and consistently put out a new game EVERY year with like 15 maps and then add a bunch more. I know Battlefield maps are considerably harder to craft but come on, you've had 4 bloody years and 4 studios, you were the top selling game last year, hire some people! Where is the server browser, platoons, portal improvements, VEHICLE updates (4 months no air radar STILL) netcode fixes, things people actually care about. We all thought this is what you were delaying for, so to not see a single one is a massive L. The fact this all should have been there on launch (including the little bird) is just an extra gut-punch. Yeah ok, credit where it's due, some weapon rebalancing was needed and we'll see if it has the desired outcome, but this is honestly nowhere near top of the list of things to fix imo. And whilst we're on the topic of FOMO, your progression system is downright disrespectful to player time. Each week I try to re-roll my missions to make them align with my play style and map choices to put me through as little pain as possible (or I would if I didn't have to waste them on BR re-rolls). Fucking really? Is this the feeling one should have playing your game? Doing chores? And don't even get me started on weapon progression, imagine being a brand-new player, would it kill you to have nerfed that a bit? What an easy win that would have been in your patch notes. The only rational explanation I can find for all of this is that EA are tying the devs hands behind their backs, nothing else makes sense. I refuse to believe the developers don't want to implement everything the community wants and it honestly just sucks.
