Brenda Kissi, Head of Portfolio Management, SIMS during a panel discussion at the 12th District 94 Toastmasters International Conference spoke on one of the most critical dialogues of our time: Voices of Change: Empowering Youth, Women, and Underrepresented Groups.
During the session, Brenda challenged the traditional view of professional support, highlighting the vital distinction between general mentorship and structured sponsorship. She noted that while support is helpful, intentional sponsorship is what truly bridges the gap between raw potential and career-defining opportunities.
She also encouraged leaders to embed these practices into their core programs to accelerate development and strengthen organizational capability.
