Today, I delivered the keynote address at the Web3 Day of the 2026 Enugu Tech Festival and spent time engaging with founders and builders from Enugu who are actively building on Solana. Enugu is steadily positioning itself as a credible contributor to our regional Solana ecosystem, and it was great to see that momentum in person.

We are excited to announce that @tether, the largest stablecoin company in the world, is making a strategic investment of $200M into Whop, valuing us at $1.6B. Our partnership with Tether marks a major step in building the world's largest internet market. Tether is committed to enabling everyone in the world to participate in the new internet economy. The way humans work and create value is changing fast. The world needs both an open internet market giving people a platform to conduct business, as well as a transparent payments network. There is enormous opportunity when you combine Tether’s global scale and wallet technology with Whop’s community of next generation entrepreneurs. No valuations.

No hype. We were hustling through Lagos traffic to hackathons and tech events.
Showing up at meetups with more ambition than resources. 
Building relationships without calculating ROI. We weren’t thinking about leverage.
We were building community. Years later, those same relationships became partnerships, investments, boards, and Million-dollar outcomes. Yes, privilege exists.
