Studios und Publisher schließen, Risiken werden gemieden und gesigned werden nur "die sicheren Hits“ (TM). Eine Herausfordernde Zeit insb. für kleine Entwicklerstudios. Gentle Troll hat im Juni 2024 mit Tavern Talk sein Entertainmentdebut ohne Unterstützung eines Publisher veröffentlicht - mit guten Ergebnissen. Dabei hat auch ein erfolgreicher Kickstarter im Herbst 2023 geholfen. Wie das klappen konnte und welche Lehren das Studio daraus für zukünftige Spiele gezogen hat, reflektiert dieser Talk. Inhalte TLDR: - Was kann Kickstarter und was auch nicht - Wie wichtig früher Fokus auf Community Building ist: Kicktarter, Playtests etc. - Wie wichtig die Wahl des richtigen Spielkonzepts ist (klein, skalierbar, streamable & engaging auch im frühen Stadium). - Früh audience/community finden/validieren und dann ab da bis Releaes mit ihr arbeiten. - Den Fans auch Möglichkeiten geben einem Geld zu geben (KS und Supporter Editions / DLC bei Release) - Patreon?
