@PicturesFoIder My brain autopilots into trying to visualize 27 on top of 48, 5 carry the 1… But then remembers the way my kids are learning and it’s 100x easier. 48 + 2 = 50 + 25

@Rainmaker1973 Were those calcium injections? I remember doing this in college and our chickens made it pretty far into development but ultimately did not make it because of the lack of calcium.

@msfeliciayong "World View" (earth as the center piece with points marked to show the habitat of each animal) Maybe QR codes with info about each or video clip explaining why each was chosen/process of creating image.

@Dr_Castelino For me it’s the transition. Transitions of any kind are difficult for me. I love being at work on Mondays…it’s my easiest quietest day and I get a lot done (specials teacher). But Sunday night I am fully panicked.

Teachers, I need some editing help with my latest I Survived book. Would any of you like to Zoom with me with your classes? I'd like to read the first chapter & get their feedback. If you're interested, let me know. I'll choose 3 classes (randomly) & in touch by DM by 1/13.

Today my great grandmother, Lily Ebert, an Auschwitz survivor, turns 99! “I never thought I would survive Auschwitz and have another birthday. At 99, I celebrate to show that the Nazis did not win!” All #HappyBirthdayLily wishes and comments will be passed on to Lily. ❤️

@miss__sanders So much great advice here. Just wanted to share what I did at the end of the day. Those students that had 2 warnings or less were given a ‘smelly spot’ at the end of the day. I would just rub a little dot of this fun chapstick I got at Target on their hand. My kinders loved it.

Any seasoned Kindergarten teachers out there willing to share classroom management advice? As a first year teacher who was thrown in the middle of the year, I'm trying to figure out best practices!

@kristinawrites2 @NicholasFerroni This is awesome. I bet my junior high kids would catch a bubble and think it was hilarious and might actually be quiet 😆😆😆

@NicholasFerroni My 10th graders respond to "Bubbles in your mouth!" far better than to any version of "Quiet, please" that us high school teachers use 😂

Dear Elementary School Teachers, Somehow you have made “criss cross applesauce” the most universal, memorable and powerful phrase ever. When I asked my high school students to sit on the floor for an activity, they all shouted, in unison, “criss cross applesauce!”
