Very happy to have my fourth and final #SLPhd paper published in #AJSLP! Looking at 4 cases of children with phonological impairment & precocious vocabulary, highlighting interesting differences between children with phonological impairment.
ASHA Journals@ASHAJournals

New #AJSLP study describes the speech production, speech perception, vocabulary, and word learning abilities of lexically precocious 4-year-old children with phonological impairment. on.asha.org/3YhJ7Wa @stephspeechie

Lexically precocious preschools with phonological impairment are a theoretical conundrum. Interesting how some of these children recalled new words when retelling a narrative after not remembering the new words on a confrontation naming task! Great stuff @stephspeechie

Great study @stephspeechie intriguing results with no difference in speech perception skills of children with vs without SSD….but that children with above average vocabulary had better speech perception. @NatalieMunro3 @mcgregor_karla @ron_pomper
