it seems that festivals and other big events have turned into visual art exhibitions. The main focus is on the visuals/animations. Yes, they are incredible, but the music is definitely secondary, the crowd is mostly filming, not dancing. Or am I missing something here?

@steve_bug this is what I love about smaller boutique festivals. the interactive art installations and hang out spaces make the experience immersive. huge LED walls and stage production is fun but if there aren’t cute hangout spots and art to explore it can feel a bit soulless.

@Freakbeats_cast Think of clubs, where a good light-jockey is able to create hysteric moments on the dance-floor with very simple light effects (changing colors, speed etc). Modern visuals/technology should be able to do the same, if not way more. Without showing actual images to look at.

@steve_bug Advocate of video shows will comment that visuals add to the atmosphere. So, what's on your mind? Curious to hear.

@steve_bug When sets have been regurgitated over and over again, lineups are extremely similar every yet, artists use the same sounds over and over again, etc, it gets stale. Promoters need to find new ways to pique the interest of consumers.

@Freakbeats_cast Personally I don’t think it’s sad, it’s just not for me. People are obviously enjoying it. There are still many smaller events, and club nights to enjoy for those who prefer that.

@steve_bug You are not. This is the sad true. We urgently need to get back to tiny clubs with residents to build back this community better

@stevecoxlord I don’t think we have to. There are obviously people enjoying it. There are a lot of different things going on out there. In some clubs it’s still all about having fun on the dance floor. People are actually dancing their asses off 🙌😊❤️
