Could not watch Dhurandhar for more than a few minutes. A typically tawdry Indian movie with an incoherent and in places idiotic story line. Dhur fitte mounh not Dhurandhar. Any recommendations from the content available on Netflix?

The 1976 #Oscar race for Best Picture is as follows: Barry Lyndon, Jaws, Nashville, Dog Day Afternoon & One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest. Perhaps the strongest Best Picture lineup ever. Cuckoo’s Nest ultimately won, but I think Dog Day deserved it. Or maybe Jaws. Or maybe IDK.

@Luggs_Harvey @DixieNormu95224 Wrong. “Breaking Away”-1979 “Dave and his friends, known as the team, “Cutters,” which refers to the Bloomington townies who cut limestone in the local quarries, are looked down upon by the rich, privileged students at IU.”

Let’s talk about April 14, 2023. A Canton High School lacrosse game. High school kids. Parents in the stands. And in the middle of that? A Canton resident Tom Beatty. Originally from Dorchester. At his daughter’s game and the town bully Jen Mccabe According to witnesses, there was a verbal exchange between him and Jen McCabe. And what was reportedly said? “Keep walking. Nobody wants you here. GO SIT BY YOURSELF " Let that sink in. Nobody wants you here. At a public high school sporting event. In the town where he lives. Watching his own daughter play. This isn’t about legal arguments. It’s not about trial transcripts. It’s about culture. Because that line “Nobody wants you here” tells you everything about the mindset. That’s territorial, clique-based, high school cafeteria politics. It’s the towny gatekeeping mentality You’re either in the circle Or you’re not And if you’re not, we’ll let you know! And the irony? The phrase came at… a high school game in front of other parents, while she was surrounded by her entourage. It’s giving Mean Girls Canton Edition But here’s the uncomfortable truth this isn’t about popularity. It’s about intimidation culture. The same pattern we’ve seen over and over...When someone speaks up they get iced out. When someone questions they get mocked. When someone doesn’t “fall in line” they’re told they don’t belong. That’s not strength. That’s insecurity. Canton doesn’t belong to a clique. It doesn’t belong to a friend group. It doesn’t belong to a social circle from 1998. It belongs to the residents. All of them. And if someone is at their child’s public school sporting event, the correct response isn’t “nobody wants you here.” It’s maybe… just watch the game JEN.
