@dpinsen @aleabitoreddit Can't comment on SIVE specifically, however any serious mgmt is always focused on building the business for success. Then, sometimes that leads M&A, however that shall never be the focus.

Fun fact: don’t think any large US institution had positions in $SIVE / $SIVEF since it was a majority owned local Swedish retail stock. There’s also fund mandates preventing US funds from entering (eg. Nasdaq listing / $1B MC) That’s definitely changed now thanks to European media shaking out the local holders, Sivers upcoming NASDAQ listing, and hitting $1B+ MC. Again $1.3B is literal spare change for hyperscalers and US institutions. And I have high confidence many would want exposure to CPO, silicon photonics and lasers, since there’s only a few in the entire world like $LITE, $COHR, and $MTSI. Especially… a CHIPS Act laser supplier likely in $AMD, $MRVL, $AAPL, Lightmatter, Ayar, AlChip, GUC, O-Net and other supply chains like the Golden Dome. Part of it is game theory for share accumulation. Since US/Western retail now owns a large part of the float (off of the Swedish sellers). And US institutions now want exposure.

Yes, it was a challenge to get funding, especially for Semiconductors in a country were the biggest design/ development was done by companies inhouse, big names like $ERIC for example, they very rarely brought that up with Investors, so Semiconductors is quite unknown here in a broader sense. However that created a great talent pool to recruit from.

@StormDirac Yep! But it's good for the company to new larger US institution backing so $SIVE can unlock more capital for capex/R&D/acquisitions and revenue acceleration. I did appreciate how well management handled execution despite limited funding (relative to US companies).

$SIVE closed early for holiday at SEK 38,0 - 13.00 today CET. US $SIVEF closed at $4.78 = SEK 44,1 that is a difference of 16% SIVE will be closed tomorrow as well.

If you’re curious why $SIVEF is up even more today. $SIVE, as a CHIPS act recipient: Now likely powers the Golden Dome. As the upstream semi supplier since Sivers’ lead customer ALLSPACE got acquired by $YSS. York happens to be a national defense prime contractor with links to the Space Force, Space Development Agency, DoD, and Golden Dome. So Sivers, a mini Swedish company, basically got a backdoor to powering the US space buildout.

I’m long Win Semi (3105.TWO) Win Semi just printed one of the best Q1s in years and I don’t hear much talk about it. EPS up 30x YoY. Revenue +28% YoY. Q2 guidance up 14-16% QoQ. And that’s with capacity utilization still only at 60%. The two growth engines going forward: Optical Communications and LEO Satellites. AI data center revenue expected to more than double this year. Optical PD products entering mass production in Q2 with significant ramp in H2. 4-inch InP line capacity expanding by multiples this year to meet demand. Now here’s why this matters to $SIVE holders specifically. Win Semi is the confirmed outsourced manufacturing partner for Sivers’ DFB lasers and laser arrays – scaling high-volume production for CWDM and DWDM applications, CPO and next-generation optical interconnects. When $SIVE scales, Win Semi scales with it. They’re a foundry that is embedded in the same photonics supply chain feeding AI data centers and LEO satellites. This is why I love betting on ecosystems rather than single stocks. Disclosure: I own this stock since @aleabitoreddit called it back in March. It has been one of my favorite stocks on the Taiwanese exchange to add on any macro drop.

No changes, I see it as positive, more capital, deeper DoD connections. AllSpace = advanced multi-orbit antennas York = satellite platform / buses → Together = end-to-end space infrastructure We’re seeing the same pattern everywhere now: AI → vertical integration (chips → systems) Space → antennas + satellites + network Control the stack = capture the value
