@200ema @patrickwieland Are you saying you initially build your ORB using the 15min chart but then use a 5min candle that closed outside the 15min ORB chart to use as confluence for entry long or short? Does that sounds about right? What’s your Mini/Micro and ATM for your stops loss and target setup?

@patrickwieland I’m sitting at a 73% win rate with m15 ORB break (m5 candle close outside) About 44 live trades over 6 months Nearly 50%+ appreciation It’s good, real good

I went back and manually backtested the 15 Minute Opening Range on Nasdaq in March. Using the VWAP as another parameter. Opening below VWAP and failure to reclaim VWAP almost always ended up with a big move down. What I found was the 2nd 50% of deviation from the 15 Opening Range setup was hit very often. Now this doesn’t mean it hits it in a straight line but this is mostly done before noon or so. 80% of 15 Minute Range breaks in March hit minimum of target 2. The issue here is entry as it’s not always as easy as entering the first break of the range. With 100% of 15 minute range breaks in March hitting a minimum of target 1.
