@ian_dakin @RosieDuffield1 @thames_pilgrim @Keir_Starmer I was trying to highlight the extent to which his previous working life was almost entirely governed by clearly formulated legal and procedural principles and rules which a DPP, and lawyers generally must carefully observe…..politics, works very differently….. think..
English

@strainm @RosieDuffield1 @thames_pilgrim @Keir_Starmer Really. He has been Prime Minister and Director of Public prosecutions. They are at the top of the tree. How is that about being comfortable about taking orders.
Gargrave, England 🇬🇧 English

I know an MP that could replace @Keir_Starmer as PM and she is a living symbol of his history of indecision and cowardice. 🗳
For Keir never reinstated @RosieDuffield1 to the Labour party due to his fear of dealing with reality and she could offer a true, credible direction. 🧭

@WorkElizab …..wishing you a very happy birthday! I love your turquoise jumper and hope you’ve enjoyed the day!
English

@ian_dakin @RosieDuffield1 @thames_pilgrim @Keir_Starmer I’m not. I’m simply saying that he has spent his career in a job where it was necessary to be comfortable about taking instructions from others….

“Despite the early assassination of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Iran’s supreme leader, the regime’s retaliation against Gulf Arab states has been faster and more aggressive than many expected,” writes Shashank Joshi, our defence editor economist.com/middle-east-an…

@ItsHania37592 Congratulations! Her black hair is gorgeous and I with you all every happiness!
English

@ian_dakin @RosieDuffield1 @thames_pilgrim @Keir_Starmer No-one…. I was referring to his previous career as a senior civil servant which entailed working assiduously and sometimes creatively but always in line with ‘the rules’..
English

@atticrahman @Steven_Swinford I think you might have hit the button there. Mandelson’s whole career before politics was grounded in a capacity carefully to formulate plans in line with a rationalisation of other people’s expectations….
English

@Steven_Swinford Looks and sounds and smells of a cover-up. The due diligence on Mandelson’s appointment has nothing to do with the criminal allegations. What it does have is, implicate Starmer’s lack of care and attention - he wanted Mandelson whatever the risk.
English

Exclusive:
Two of the key documents held by the government on Lord Mandelson’s appointment as US ambassador will not be made public until after the police investigation and any criminal trial has concluded
It means it will be months or even possibly years before they see the light of day
That includes the Cabinet Office due diligence report given to Keir Starmer prior to Mandelson’s appointment as US ambassador
It details public evidence about their friendship - the fact Mandelson stayed at Epstein’s New York apartment while he was in jail for sex offences, the JP Morgan report saying the two men had a ‘particularly close’ relationship
It will raise significant questions about Starmer’s judgment
The three questions Starmer put to Mandelson and his responses will also be withheld. Starmer told the Commons that these provide evidence that Mandelson misled him
Both documents are being withheld because of concerns that they could prejudice a potential criminal trial

@RosieDuffield1 @thames_pilgrim @Keir_Starmer Well said ! Keir’s whole career has been shaped by a carefully learned skill in ‘taking orders’!
English

@thames_pilgrim @Keir_Starmer Ha ha, thank you, but I chose to leave the Labour Party when the 'leadership' became anything but. I may want to rejoin when it resembles a party I recognise once again...
English

@AndyBelfast @JamieBrysonCPNI @BrigidLaffan Nowhere is ‘derogation of sovereignty’ enacted in the Good Friday Agreement or subsequently…….read on but don’t mistake the GFA for dreamscape/nightmare….
English

@AndyBelfast @JamieBrysonCPNI @BrigidLaffan Sovereignty does not necessarily imply exclusive control….all EU member states enjoy both sides independence and shared arrangements…..
English

@DannyDonnelly1 @NIHospice @nichildrenshosp Yes; but surely: but ‘accordingly’ begs the question, surely?: who decides ’how much’ , and on what criteria? Those questions, surely, are of concern to the public, and need to be answered in a public, political framework….?!
English

I attended a really powerful event at City Hall this afternoon where we heard from families about their experiences of the amazing work of @NIHospice and @nichildrenshosp. The specialist service delivered by them is vital and should be funded accordingly.

@Telegraph @AllisterHeath Not half, and it looks like supposed Restore supporters are at the forefront of that fight against the right. The naive who really think they’ll win and the far left who have infiltrated it. They will
Split the vote and Labour will walk straight back in to number 10!😟#voteReform
