@pschofie79 Costco, the quasi-fresh soups in the plastic tubs. That’s about it, though.

We renovated our kitchen and so were without it for two months. I found it a bit surprising that soup, of all things, was hard to find a decent store bought replacement for. The range seemed to be “fine” to “gross.”

Every one needs money, I get it! But those of us who want to read/write/talk about poetry, experimental film/video, and other niche interests don’t have a lot of options out there. Sometimes a community of fellow travelers is enough.

My take on the current round of the zombie "piracy vs. preservation" debate is that it's understandable and okay that Dave Kehr, a man who works in film preservation and relies on grants and other unsteady financial streams, to not publicly condone video piracy.

@op116117118119 It would be interesting to try to test some of the arguments people actually make about media piracy: it promotes equity across geographic and economic barriers; it improves access without a real cost, since the vast majority of pirates never would have paid anyways; etc

@strohltopia The post isn't exactly about piracy, but it's close enough such that it seems easy enough to turn it into a pro-piracy argument.
