ANSWER: Correct the mistake by re-dropping Looking at Clarification 17.1d(3)/2, as the original ball was found IN THE PENALTY AREA (“in the water”), Sutton must correct the error and drop again using the found original ball to determine the reference point. She would not be allowed to play the original ball.
