@RewindStraight i don't have anything against humanoid mons but the majority of newer starters turning humanoid has gotten old the same way that getting three fire/fighting starters in a row got old, people don't hate fire/fighting types or humanoids we just want them to do something new already

I truly don’t get the disdain for any Pokémon design that isn’t animalistic/creature-like. Pokémon is short for Pocket Monsters, not Pocket Animals. Monsters are a combo of many things/concepts; meaning they can be literally anything. That includes objects, food, and humanoids

The moment it clicked why modern starters feel so wrong made me feel so smart. It’s because it’s practically impossible to picture them in the wild. Like I can’t imagine Cinderace in a desert or open field not looking out of place

I wish I liked Typhlosion more than I did because Cyndaquil and Quilava are great, but Typhlosion feels so plain in comparison.
