Drone pilots in Southern California! Flying your drone without authorization near a wildfire can prevent official aircraft firefighting efforts. The response is rapidly evolving, always check for Temporary Flight Restrictions (TFRs) before you fly at bit.ly/2NNkeOf.

NEWS: The FAA has expanded the size of a ban on non-firefighting aircraft from over the Los Angeles area wildfires. It now stretches over Hollywood Hills, Calabasas, Paramount Ranch National Park, and Century City.

Do not fly your drone near or around areas affected by the LA wildfires. Anyone who interferes with emergency response operations may face severe fines and criminal prosecution. If you fly, emergency responders can't.
