Those on the receiving end feel worse, while the commenters only succeed in making themselves look pitiful. A little self-restraint might help, if only to avoid looking foolish in the eyes of people who truly know what they are talking about. Slow down. Every situation has layers beneath the surface. Read carefully. Think carefully. Comment carefully. Stop reacting with your spinal cord and start using your brain, both logic and emotion, as befits a civilized adult. Show some empathy toward fellow human beings. Try to care about others, not just yourself and your own clan. And if that still feels too difficult, perhaps trying an IF comment could be a start.
