@MetalClassicist And now that we are in the topic of Belgium, I really like the song Thermopilae by Ancient Rites, that you put on the Spartan Metal Mirage playlist.
@MetalClassicist And what was your choice for Belgium? (I'm curious because I live here now), and which Belgian beer was your choice? (beers from Belgium, wines from Chile)
@MetalClassicist If you need recommendation from Chile, go for "Pastel de Choclo" if you have time, if you don't go for "Completo" (next-level hot-dog). I think the Pastel de Choclo would be would with Carménère chilean wine.

Historical references were coming from several podcasts, especially Spartan History Podcast buzzsprout.com/685886, the book "Spartan Women" by Sarah Pomeroy goodreads.com/book/show/6775… and of course Wikipedia articles.
Dear #postgresql folks. A whole bunch of talks from #pgconfeu has been released today, mine among those many, where I try to get some lessons from Sparta's Dual Kingship to build Postgres Active-Active systems: youtube.com/watch?v=PMJWW8… Feedback is welcome. cc @EDBPostgres
I finished third in the chess tournament at @pgconfeu over more than thirty opponents.
The level was high (higher than expected 😅). I played very interesting and complex games and was able to try out my Caro and Jobava London “in the real world”.
Thanks @tchorix and Derk!
I learn so much from @tchorix in every single one of his #PostgreSQL conference talks (& from every conversation for that matter)
Here are the best pics I captured from Boriss’s talk at @pgconfeu#PGConfEU today, titled “Sparta’s Dual Kingship and PostgreSQL Active-Active”
I bought this book specifically for this chapter (preparing for a presentation next month), and happily discovered many other interesting chapters. Definitely recommended. Thank you @MetalClassicist and all the other co-authors.
