I just had someone tell me they were disappointed in me. They said I didn’t keep my word. I was supposed to get them something Thursday. I didn’t. I then said I’d get it to them Friday. I didn’t. I finally got it to them Saturday. They told me how it had them wondering if I cared & if I’m reliable. My gut wanted to get defensive. “Seriously, why are they making such a big deal about this.” But my head was super impressed & grateful. I was impressed because most people don’t speak with this level of candor. They’d rather shit talk you behind your back. And I was grateful because it gave me the opportunity to take 100% responsibility & learn how I could better honor my commitments moving forward.
