@ted_someone
High tech hillbilly farmer. Liberals have destroyed Canada to the point of no return. It is long overdue for the west to divorce Canada.

@Nittynite @ted_someone Now that you mention it, it does seem like it's time for a grocery run... 🤣

I don’t mean to pick on boomers, but a lot of them sure love dispensing their unsolicited wisdom.
This isn’t the first time something like this has happened to me.
I was standing in line at a checkout when the old man behind me started mumbling. At first I caught something like “well just move to the US.”
I didn’t think much of it until I was walking away and he spoke up louder: “I hate you separatists. Just move to the US and leave Canada.”
I stopped, turned around, and calmly said, “Everyone is entitled to their opinion.”
He shot back, “Move to the US and leave Canada.”
I replied, “Canada is a democratic country. We’ll get a chance to vote on independence in October, that’s the true democratic way.”
Again: “Just move to the US.”
I smiled and said, “You have a great day. We’ll be deciding in October.”
Some of these folks just don’t get it. The Alberta independence movement isn’t about joining the US.
You’ll never win an argument with people who refuse to educate themselves while the mainstream media keeps feeding them a steady diet of misinformation.
It’s wild how a simple hat can trigger someone so badly.
When he told me to “leave Canada,” it made me think Alberta may actually be doing that shortly. #AlbertaIndependence

@onlyafewcows @Nuni_Sas_Yu @itsTim_eh But you don't have a cool base like she does. I only say that because I made it lol😁.
English

@Nuni_Sas_Yu @itsTim_eh Ha! I have a matching salt bag to weigh down our flag based 😂👍

@gfinockio @skymosher780 Yes you are correct, if you were following the conversation you would see that I rephrased the question. Maybe you are willing to answer it. How many dollars did Albertans pay in federal tax compared to what the federal government sent back to Alberta taxpayers?
English

@ted_someone @skymosher780 Alberta didn't send any money to the federal government. The federal government collected federal revenue.
Sheesh - get the basics straight at least.
English

Please show where Canadian money built Alberta and helped through the bad times.
lukecantlift__@skymosher780
@BrackishBetty And you now wanting to separate or not be Canadian is wild, Canadian money built Alberta, help through very bad times in oil. Multiple times. You’re being brainwashed but social media……you can’t even define what a conservative is what a liberal is. Jus wake up

@ab_sask First of the season?🤯 Ours barely cools off lol. Either way enjoy and maybe spring will show up to the party💪🏼🍻.
English

@skymosher780 So let me rephrase the question. How much has Alberta residents sent in federal tax to the federal government vs what we have received back? I can play the game too.
English

@ted_someone Alberta has sent no money to the federal govt. Canadian tax payers have. Every year, ever. Alberta pays nothing itself to Canada.
English

@NextABPremier @bodystrongdna I know exactly what his expression means. I thought that was clear🤷🏻♂️.
English

@ted_someone @bodystrongdna If you're unable to read emotions from facial expressions, it's likely you're on the spectrum.

@BertaMemes No, we do it for our family and it trickles down naturally.
English

@skymosher780 You would be correct on those points. So care to tell me how much Alberta sent to the federal government in the same time period? Pick a year, any year....
English

@ted_someone Well I was working during the down turn in 2008, which the federal govt specifically focused on us...
And surprisingly, Alberta gets federal money allocated to it yearly. Around 9 billion a year. The fact that you’re asking me to give you examples proves your ignorance.
English

@malletcncworks I just want to make sure people understand the complexity lol.
