"We do not need more malls. We need smarter planning, stronger town centres and a commitment to reuse the spaces that are already available." — Hema Sulakshana Mahadevan. thestar.com.my/opinion/letter…

The government underestimated how many bridges it would burn today. People are genuinely upset. People who attended their campaign ceramahs, people who protested alongside them, people who hung flags for them, people who encouraged friends and family to go out and vote.

Wow 😍 #malaymail #kedah #tecomatree

Do you think traffic in KL will be getting worse this year? #KualaLumpur #Malaysia

Antara faktor jam di Kuala Lumpur...

Day 1, CNY cannot go “Ghost Alley”? Very pantang leh! 👻🧧 But here’s the real reason Kwai Chai Hong closes for 2 days.

Woke up early. Left home early. But the traffic is same. What’s happening in KL? Can’t be people are going for shopping at 7am right?

Redesigned Klang Valley Metro Map with the upcoming MRT3 Circle Line. I started this project out of curiosity. With so many lines already criss-crossing the Klang Valley, I wanted to see how a full circle line could sit within an already dense network. Using 45º angle system as guidance, every line is intentional. No random bends. Also, it's fully drawn in Figma. This is a conceptual redesign and not an official map. #rapidkl #mrt #lrt #ktm

Kerajaan Malaysia melalui Mesyuarat HLC Mengenai Keselamatan dan Kesesakan Jalan Raya Bil. 2 menegaskan komitmen untuk menjadikan PKJR sebagai teras utama dalam menangani krisis keselamatan jalan raya negara. Mesyuarat dipengerusikan oleh YB Menteri Pengangkutan.

Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) reminded drivers to read the signs before turning left at red traffic lights. In a Facebook post, DBKL remarked that many road users are “still unaware or inattentive” about the meaning of the sign “Belok Kiri Jika Tiada Kenderaan dan Pejalan Kaki (turn left if no vehicles and pedestrians).” Instead many are using the signs as an excuse to make left turns carte blanche at red lights in the city when it is entirely conditional, and hinges on there not being any incoming traffic or pedestrians. DBKL stated “This sign allows drivers to turn left at a red traffic light, but only if the way is completely safe. Ensure there are no vehicles coming from other directions, no pedestrians crossing, and always prioritise safety before moving.”

"... she no longer finds drinks bottles in the rivers when she goes for a walk." Malaysian authorities should have a close look at what Romania did. theguardian.com/environment/20…

Kuala Lumpur mayor Maimunah Sharif is reportedly set to be reassigned to a new government role just over a year after her appointment. Sources told Malaysiakini that the move follows her early completion of tasks and clarified that the 64-year-old has neither resigned nor had her contract shortened. malaysiakini.com/news/760556
