@James04994193 @LBBCtimeout the whole point is that watching a movie is different on streaming. smaller screens, more distractions, worse sound, a less pleasurable experience all around. pretty much everyone who saw it theaters for weeks adored it. now it’s netflix release is here and bam! opinions changed

@Ewphoriac @zoerosebryant it’s definitely not cheaper than digital, not when you’re factoring in labor and time and materials and equipment. this is a multiple person shoot with props that had to be hand crafted. a cg senior could create this in a day

genuinely cool as fuck to see a megacorporation give artists the time and funding to go all out like this for something that sadly most would simply generate with AI these days. looks leagues better than that slop and shines with soul it can never replicate.
