This is a very gracious and encouraging summary of what I hope this book achieves! What a kind blessing if this book actually manages to help people embrace this truth
T. S. Sinclair@_TSSinclair

A Penitent People presents repentance as a grace-filled response to the gospel rather than a burdensome duty. Harrison Perkins (@PastorPerks) carefully roots his argument in Scripture and historic theology while maintaining a warm pastoral tone, showing that repentance flows from faith and leads believers back to Christ again and again. This book offers a clear, encouraging reminder that repentance is not about earning acceptance, but enjoying the freedom secured through Christ.

I’m yet to be disappointed by an NSBT volume. This is no different. A useful intro to Jeremiah; a wonderful example of blending the often disparate disciplines of biblical studies, biblical theology & systematic theology. It will deepen your doctrine of Scripture.

One of my favorite features of this project is that the book order will follow the Hebrew MT rather than LXX. I dare to hope (against longstanding tradition) that other Bible publishers will be willing to do the same.

Connecting Scripture Old Testament. Here we go! 🚀 Michael Morales and I are on a mission. I can't wait to read the Old Testament with allusions and quotations embedded within the text.

Thrilled that today is Release Day for my new book with @BakerAcademic @LexhamPress! It's called Waking from the Dust: Daniel 12:2 and Resurrection Hope in Biblical Theology. This monograph is my detailed assertion of the importance of Daniel 12:2: this verse is the climactic OT expression of resurrection hope, as well as the most influential verse on the resurrection hope of the NT authors. I dedicated it to Stephen Dempster, and I was thrilled that Dempster, Jim Hamilton, and Sam Emadi offered endorsements for it. If you're interested in the book of Daniel, if you find the presence and development of resurrection hope to be an interesting topic, and if you enjoy biblical theology, I hope you'll check out the book!

7 myths about the most famous English Bible: 1. It isn’t copyright 2. It was a totally new translation 3. The text is unchanged 4. The translators all spoke in unison 5. Little is known about how it was made 6. It’s always literal 7. It’s in Old English textandcanon.org/misconceptions…
