not very far into it at all, but it’s hilarious just how much of it is about undergrad pretension and listening to your friend talk about public indecency while free bird plays too loudly over the car speakers. i was expecting magicless harry potter or something, glad i was wrong

It’s funny how The Secret History is the North Star for dark academia but when you read it there’s so much of the typical prosaic college experience in it. Financial aid jobs, crappy dorms, townies. I think they do Coke in a Burger King parking lot at one point.

i threw this on during an all nighter with my friend and when he came back from the bathroom he saw me laying on the couch laughing so hysterically i was almost sobbing. it’s the most disgusting looking movie ever, each frame is like cinematic dog barf.
