One of the hardest things about ADHD isn't the chaos. It's the forgetting. You put in a solid day. You solved something hard. You shipped something. And by 5pm... it's just gone. Your brain moved on, and all you're left with is a vague feeling that you didn't do enough. That's why I built an end-of-day recap into Nudge. Tonight it triggered and asked me to walk through what I actually got done today. And I did. Out loud (well, in a chat window). I named the things. I saw them. I got to close the loop. That small ritual — just 5 minutes of reflection — is surprisingly powerful for ADHD brains. Not because it's productive. Because it's true. You did do things today. You deserve to know that. Productivity tools love telling you what's left undone. Nudge tries to be the tool that says: here's what you did. That matters. If you're a technical person with ADHD who's tired of tools designed for people who don't need them — check it out. 🔗 thenudge.app 💻 Open source, local-first, no cloud, no subscription, MIT licensed. hashtag#ADHD hashtag#ADHDatWork hashtag#Productivity hashtag#LocalFirst hashtag#OpenSource hashtag#NeurodiverseTech hashtag#IndieHacker hashtag#BuildInPublic

It's Palm Sunday... the day of preparation is coming and then the ultimate comeback story. I'm enjoying some time in the sun but I still know what time it is. @WassonWatch

I built a productivity app for people with #ADHD and then forgot to use it. LOLZ!!! 🤪 So I taught it to tap me on the shoulder. Nudge v0.1.8 now sends gentle, AI-powered check-ins throughout the day — a morning suggestion to start small, a midday "quick win or stretch break?", and an end-of-day reflection prompt. All configurable by just talking to it: "set my morning nudge to 8:30." Say "do not disturb" and it shuts up until tomorrow. The irony of building a reminder system because you forgot your anti-forgetting system existed is not lost on me. +100 for The Gift of Fear. It remains one of the best books I've ever read and one of the most important books I will ever read. Everyone should if they value their personal safety. Not everyone is your friend and not everyone has your best interests at heart. It's okay to tell people no because it's a complete sentence. It's also okay to be mean to complete strangers so long as they stay far away from you if your gut tells you they are not genuine. You don't owe anyone apologies for that. You aren't being dramatic, operatic or hysterical. Be wrong about them and alive rather than be right and be dead or harmed.

The Autistic/ADHD panic when you get interrupted partway through a task, because redirecting your focus can be arduous and, when you later return to the former task, picking up where you left off and getting back into a rhythm with it can take so much thought and energy.

@autisticadhdco For me it's even simpler. My mantra has become "starting is success. completion is optional." Reality is I complete just fine once I've started, but I needed the mental forgiveness to just start and not worry about the rest.

Peak ADHD productivity level. I'm playing @RuyuiStudios while Claude Code implementing features in my own game on the background. I'm not wasting any time, I need to grind in RoE and I still need to progress developing my game. God bless AI.

I genuinely think doing nothing sometimes is extremely healthy. I have ADHD, so I’m usually always doing something — learning, scrolling, planning, fixing, optimizing… you name it. But every now and then it’s actually good for the brain to just disengage. No productivity, no goals — just daydreaming, letting thoughts wander, existing a bit. Rest isn’t laziness; it’s maintenance.

@HowtoADHD The inconsistency IS the disability. Acknowledging it instead of fighting it changes everything about how we approach our own productivity.

ADHDers often feel like we “should” be able to do something because ✨ we’ve done it before ✨ or that our difficulty with focus/productivity isn’t a real disability b/c sometimes we can do it just fine. GUYS. LADIES. GENTLETHEMS. THAT IS THE DISABILITY. The INCONSISTENCY.

Do not compete with an ADHDer who has found a way to make the work fun. You will lose. While you are relying on finite resources like "discipline" and "willpower," they are running on raw, renewable dopamine. It is not "productivity" anymore. It is a compulsion. They will work for 14 hours straight simply because they forgot how to stop.
