You could ask us if careers are fulfilling for us. Like, you could just ask us. You could at least pretend we’re human & get fulfillment from a career like men do. You could stop pitting motherhood and a career against each other. Theres alot you could do but you just post on X.

To each their own, but Men used to sacrifice all their time at work so Women could focus on and sacrifice for the family. I doubt careers are more fulfilling than time with kids, and I know paying strangers to raise and teach them is not a good idea. PsyOp of the century?👇

Also, I have huge issues with criticizing people's looks and extrapolating moral qualities. Good people age, look tired, decline. I wish we could stop talking about looks as if there's any morality attached.

In the show, Elphaba is not allergic to water, but she takes advantage of the rumor by pretending to die when it's thrown on her to fake her death. Dorothy is... a spoiled sadistic brat for some reason. Which I don't like.

I think Wicked has always had a plot and theme problem because of the reluctance to give Elphaba flaws (and yes, I Was A Teenage Survivor of the Novel Wicked Because My Mom Didn't Know What Was In It, I''m aware the novel is different).

@LauraRbnsn To clarify, The Scarecrow becomes incompetent. The Tin Woodman (suddenly called Nick Chopper for some reason) becomes obsessed with his looks and shining his tin.

Man I keep thinking of dumb Wicked things.
The score is absolutely packed to the gills with cute nods to Fiyero being dumb (failing out of school, "maybe I'm brainless") but that arc is not resolved at all.

But if Dorothy + Scarecrow + The Tin Woodman came to kill, I would expect Elphaba would not care.
But that is assuming some continuity between the stories.

Elphaba in the show knows damn well she's not allergic to water, and there's actually nothing this ten year old can do against the most powerful witch in the world.
