Health & Fitness Post 🏋️ I’m usually pretty private when it comes to my personal health and fitness. I’ve been on a roller coaster with weight pretty much my whole life. At my heaviest I was 297 lbs. When I was younger, I used to be able to drop 40 lbs. in a summer. But then I’d gain some back, then lose some again , then gain more. There have been seasons of being in shape and out of shape. But I wanted to break the up and down cycle, motivated by my faith and my family. I have one life and one body that God gave me, and I wanted to commit to taking care of it. I have a wonderful wife and two beautiful children, and I want to be around as long as I can be for them. 🙏 I decided to take control and find something that I could be consistent with for the long haul. I’ve been concentrating less on the number on scale and more on eating healthier with a big emphasis on protein intake. I’ve also been lifting heavy three days a week and doing steady state cardio five days a week. Being consistent is so important. Don’t give yourself any excuses to stop or to give up. Don’t get down on yourself if you miss. Every day is a new day to choose to put in the work. 🙌 On the left was about a year ago at 280 lbs. On the right is me right now at 250 lbs. I’m 6’2” with a goal weight of 225 lbs. 💪 I’ll post on here once in a while to keep myself accountable and give some updates. I also hope that I can encourage anyone reading this that wants to take hold of their fitness and get healthier.
