So well written. You’re a real talent Caitlin
Caitlin Johnstone@caitoz

Sure plutocrats are killing our biosphere, but hey, at least they’re creating technology that lets you avoid the cognitive discomfort of writing your own words and thinking your own thoughts. Sure the empire is butchering human beings at horrifying scale around the world, but on the bright side it’s creating refugees who will move to your country and bring you treats that you can order from an app on your phone. Sure imperialist extraction is robbing the resources and exploiting the workers of the global south at extortionate fees, but on the other hand you get to wear a new outfit every day because the clothes you ordered online are dirt cheap thanks to transcontinental slave labor. Sure our rulers are rapidly caging us in a digital surveillance network of ever-increasing intrusiveness and control, but golly gosh they just keep gifting us all these nifty free social media platforms that we simply cannot stop ourselves from scrolling through for some reason. Sure capitalism is driving us toward collapse on multiple fronts while everyone gets sicker, poorer, dumber, crazier, and more miserable, but hey look, McDonald’s is bringing back the McRib. Sure it’s only a matter of time until we find ourselves policed by armed robots and facial recognition murder drones and praying the government AI doesn’t shut off our digital money because our eyes lingered a bit too long on an anti-Israel meme, but at least we can have fun placing Polymarket bets on the next country the United States is going to bomb. They take so very, very much, and we trade it away for so very, very little. They steal our wealth, strangle our ecosystem and incinerate our future, and in return they give us bread and circuses that are just affordable enough to stop us from chopping off heads. They exhaust us, abuse us, indoctrinate us, distract us, desensitize us, confuse us, overload us, misinform us and gaslight us, and in exchange we get a hundred overpriced streaming services to choose from and a thousand types of toothpaste. They’re making our world worse and worse, and they’re making us worse as individuals, too. They’re poisoning our minds and darkening our hearts. Killing our conscience and amputating our empathy. It sucks to live in the shadow of the empire. There’s nothing natural or healthy about this dystopia. And they’re getting it practically for free. A little propaganda, a sprinkling of mindless entertainment and a few treats, and we give them a whole planet to rape. They’re getting all the most vital parts of our world and all the most sacred parts of ourselves for a song. We can’t keep letting them do this to us. We’ve got to wake up. Sometimes saying this feels as futile as imploring a loved one to leave their cult or break up with their abusive partner for the ten thousandth time. But that is what needs to happen. And people do leave cults. People do exit abusive relationships. It only happens when they’re ready, and it’s got to come from them — but it does happen. Here’s hoping we find some way to leave our abusive relationship with the empire before it’s too late.

This is Jillian Segal admitting that her agenda is to stomp out criticism of Israel in Australia, not to combat antisemitism. We already knew this, but it's nice to have her come right out and say it.
Alternate Media Watchers@AltMediaWatch

According to the Special Envoy to Combat Antisemitism, Jillian Segal’s new handbook “Understanding Antisemitism in Australia” anti-Zionism is “an expression of hatred towards Jews”. What a disgusting use of taxpayer money to weaponise antisemitism in defense of Israel.

The greatest crisis facing journalism today is Israel The apartheid state is the world’s leading murderer of journalists, assassinating courageous reporters from Gaza to Lebanon as a matter of policy and with impunity In the US, Israeli cutouts like the Ellisons are establishing a monopoly, buying every social and legacy media property possible, to prevent these facts from reaching the public All across the West, Israel works to destroy the reputations and careers of journalists who demonstrate solidarity with colleagues targeted by its killing machine In such a dire climate, true independent media is necessarily and explicitly antizionist

Small correction: The estimation of 20 000 to 60 000 is something Dr. Helmut Sterz said after his testimony at the hearing. At the German parliament hearing he only mentioned the 60 000 figure. Remember, this man is an expert. He was literally overseeing the testing of the safety of medicines at Pfizer in Europe before they could advance to clinical trials even. This man is an expert on medicine safety testing. Remember when we were told to listen to the experts?

BREAKING: Court documents reveal that Australian government war crimes investigators do not even have the NAMES of two individuals Ben Roberts-Smith is alleged to have killed in Afghanistan almost 20 years ago. Nobody has managed to identify these alleged victims - even after $300 million was spent on war crimes investigations over five years. Australian Office of Special Investigations director Ross Barnett already revealed that investigators have: - No crime scenes - No access to the deceased - No bodies - No post-mortem report - No official cause of death - No recovery of projectiles to link to weapons that might have been carried by members of the ADF - No photographs - No site plans - No measurements - No recovery of projectiles - No blood spatter Now we know that after nearly $300 million and 5 years of investigation, they do not even have the NAMES of two alleged victims. If there is no name, no identification, no body - how do we even know they were killed? Does anybody actually think this is fair? Does anybody actually think that a criminal conviction - proved to a criminal standard, beyond reasonable doubt - is remotely possible in these circumstances? Daily Mail: ''Two of the five men Ben Roberts-Smith is accused of murdering while serving with the Special Air Service in Afghanistan have never been identified by war crimes investigators. Court documents seen by the Daily Mail show one of the Victoria Cross recipient's alleged victims is described only as 'Person Under Control 1', or alternatively 'Enemy Killed in Action 3'.''

Mojtaba Khamenei to the White House: “You begged for a ceasefire to reload — we allowed it to expose your weakness.” “Whatever you bring in two weeks, we’ll wipe out in two days. Our missile and drone power won’t run out for 10 years. For every loss, we replace it.” “We won’t wait. Tel Aviv will be hit with full force — no energy center will remain operational.” “No more truces. No negotiations. It’s victory or martyrdom.” Reports claim up to 10,000 missiles ready for major targets. “If you return, we return — and God is with us.”

🚨🇺🇸🇦🇪 IRGC: “ACCORDING TO ACCURATE REPORTS” 25 U.S. CASUALTIES Source: trust me bro. “Accurate reports” coming straight from the same place as their missile hit rate. At this point, IRGC casualty claims have more fantasy than Somali daycares in Minnesota.

🇺🇸🇮🇷The war nobody is framing correctly is about the dollar, not the nukes... Iran was selling 90% of its oil to China in yuan. Not dollars. It was part of a broader BRICS push to bypass the dollar in global energy trade. Venezuela was doing the same. Trump took out both within weeks of each other. That's not a coincidence. The entire American economic model runs on one assumption: the world buys and sells oil in dollars, and those dollars get recycled back into U.S. debt. The GCC is the engine of that system. Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, and Bahrain sell oil in dollars and reinvest the proceeds into American assets. That cycle funds the $39 trillion in national debt that keeps the American economy functioning. Iran threatened that system in two ways. It sold oil outside the dollar. And it had the military capability to threaten the GCC nations that anchor the petrodollar. A nuclear-armed Iran could eventually coerce its neighbors into abandoning the dollar entirely. Now look at what the war actually achieved. Iran's ability to threaten the GCC militarily is being degraded. Gulf states that were quietly diversifying toward China are now completely dependent on American protection again. The F-35 sale to Saudi Arabia locks Riyadh into the U.S. weapons ecosystem for decades. And every Iranian oil sale in yuan that gets taken offline is a sale that reverts back to dollars. The consequences if this fails are existential. If the U.S. withdraws from the Middle East without securing the petrodollar system, the GCC could become client states of whoever guarantees their security next. Japan and South Korea would question American reliability. Europe would accelerate its pivot away from Washington. Dollar demand collapses and America can no longer finance its debt. That's why there's no real off-ramp. The nukes are the justification. The missiles are the pretext. The dollar is the reason. And the people paying the price are everyone caught in between.
