Richard Smallwood, the iconic gospel innovator and songwriter known for classics like “Center of My Joy” and “Total Praise,” has died. He was 77

Richard Smallwood seemed larger than life. Total Praise is one of the greatest gospel songs of all time. Came out in 1996 but seems timeless. RIP to a legend and giant.

As a PBS kid & documentary watcher, the irreparable damage this will cause to not just the next generation but to all of us is unmeasurable. Free publicly sourced knowledge, information, & education that served this nation for years will just no longer be a thing. All of it gone.
